Customised working platforms for rail vehicle production

KRAUSE implements a customised solution for ALSTOM Polska in Chorzów

Modern rail vehicles place high demands on production, inspection and maintenance. Work on roof areas in particular requires safe, ergonomic access solutions that are precisely tailored to the specific application. KRAUSE has therefore developed two stationary working platforms for ALSTOM Polska S.A., which are being used in the new halls at the Chorzów plant.

Stationary working platform for rail vehicles

This customised solution supports staff in production as well as during inspection and maintenance work on passenger cars, and ensures safe access to elevated work areas. The design has been engineered to accommodate different vehicle dimensions whilst creating stable and safe workstations. The combination of a robust substructure, aluminium work platforms and adjustable components demonstrates how custom-designed access solutions can support industrial processes in the rail sector.

In addition to workplace safety, ergonomics and efficiency were also key considerations. The access platforms help to clearly structure work areas, reduce travel distances and enable tasks on vehicle roofs to be carried out in a controlled manner. As a result, access equipment has become an important component of the technical infrastructure in manufacturing, testing and maintenance operations.

The project demonstrates how KRAUSE translates customer-specific requirements from the rail vehicle industry into practical bespoke solutions. Further details of the technical features implemented and how the access platforms are used at ALSTOM Polska can be found in the full project report.
