How to know: Provision of safe access technology
As one of the leading access technology companies in Europe, KRAUSE has, besides the widest product range in the industry, already for many years a very comprehensive portfolio around work safety, further training and optimal use of the work equipment. Ladders, steps, mobile scaffolds and fixed ladders are frequently and naturally used in everyday work. If a fall occurs during use, this often results in expensive downtime and also considerable liability risks. However, a large part of the 11,000 or so fall accidents involving ladders each year could be avoided, as the frequent causes are defective steps and ladders and improper use of these. The Ordinance on Industrial Safety and Health (Betriebssicherheitsverordnung) therefore contains a legal obligation to instruct users at regular intervals and to inspect this work equipment at regular intervals. This inspection may only be carried out by a so-called "competent person" who has the necessary specialist knowledge.
Training as a "competent person" by real professionals
KRAUSE imparts the mentioned expert knowledge in different seminars, the attendance of which can be used for the qualification of "competent persons". In the practical seminars legal basics and contents for the inspection of ladders, steps, mobile scaffold towers and fixed ladders as well as essential safety aspects for their use are imparted. Participants are then able to independently manage and carry out the inspections in their own company. All employees who use ladders in their daily work benefit from this increase in internal company know-how.
If no "competent person" is trained in the company or if this person is prevented, KRAUSE employees will step in. The KRAUSE inspectors then take care of the inspection, the legally compliant inspection documentation, the inspection of the safety equipment and much more.
Years of seminar competence, guaranteed success and hundreds of satisfied participants
The extensive programme with the different seminar variants can be found in the special brochure "SafetyServices" of KRAUSE. Besides Germany-wide one-day compact seminars "Ladders, Steps and Mobile Scaffolds", seminars individually adapted to your focal points can be carried out directly on site in your company. In the online seminars, newly implemented since 2021, the live dialogue with the instructor ensures the transfer of knowledge. The conveyed contents can be implemented in the company independent of the manufacturer. The seminar team of KRAUSE consists exclusively of experts and practitioners with profound knowledge around the topics of access technology and occupational safety. KRAUSE seminars are suitable as further training for occupational safety experts in the sense of § 5 para. 3 ASiG and are evaluated by the "Verband für Sicherheit, Gesundheit und Umweltschutz bei der Arbeit e.V. (VDSI = Association for Safety, Health and Environmental Protection at Work)" with one or two further training points. The "Verband Österreichischer Sicherheits-Experten (VÖSI = Association of Austrian Security Experts)" and the "Schweizerische Gesellschaft für Arbeitssicherheit (SGAS = Swiss Society for Occupational Safety)" also honour the participation in KRAUSE seminars with two points.
The guaranteed seminar success, the seminar certificate, the comprehensive seminar documents and the hotline for questions after the seminars form an overall package which has already convinced countless participants. Alternatively, the outsourcing of the examinations to a KRAUSE specialist with minimal effort for you as a company.
