KRAUSE optimises window cleaner ladders for use according to TRBS 2121-2 with innovative features and R13 steps

Window cleaner ladders consist of individual parts that can be plugged together and have been used by building cleaners for many years to clean large glass surfaces safely and effectively. According to the amendments of TRBS 2121-2, ladders that are used both as a traffic route (ascent to higher levels) and as a workplace (standing on the ladder during work) must be equipped with steps instead of rungs. KRAUSE has therefore fundamentally relaunched the existing window cleaner ladders and now offers them not only with rungs but also with steps or anti-slip steps of class R13. In addition to the new models and the increase of the load capacity, the plug-in ladder mechanism has also been optimised in the course of the relaunch and equipped with an automatic locking device.

Thanks to the plug-in ladder system always close to the object

Window cleaner ladders consist of a lower part with a wide crossbar, optionally one or two middle parts and a pointed upper part. They are therefore often referred to as pointed ladders. The top section can be securely attached to window frames and also to corners of houses with the abrasion-resistant soft-rubber attachment block with wedge cut-out. The back of the top section is also equipped with wall castors. This makes it easy to push the ladder upwards along walls and facades. Depending on the working height to be reached, the ladder sections can be combined with each other and plugged into each other. Users can thus always work as close as possible to the wall or window at different assembly heights. Thanks to the plug-in ladder system, the ladder can be stowed in a space-saving manner and also finds room on the roof of service vehicles. This system can also be used in confined spaces or in lifts.

Simple, fast and safe assembly

The ladder sections are connected with the innovative ClickMatic system, which automatically locks the ladder sections together and releases them again with a flick of the wrist. Together with the wall castors, this enables convenient assembly and disassembly directly on the wall. The plug-in connection is equipped with round safety bolts that prevent the ladder parts from jamming and make it much easier to plug them together. This means that the ladder can also be easily pushed up and extended by one person. The same applies to the disassembly of the window cleaner ladder. In addition, the internal plug-in connection does not protrude beyond the ladder rail and thus does not interfere with the use, transport and storage of the ladder.

Even more flexibility with the KRAUSE system

Besides the lower part with five steps or rungs, users of the KRAUSE system also have the possibility to use a lower part with two steps or rungs. This means that the KRAUSE window cleaner ladder can be assembled in a total of six different combinations instead of the previous three assembly variants, which further increases flexibility.

All individual parts are equipped with two-component head and foot plugs made of hard and soft material with anti-slip/anti-slip protection and protect sensitive floors and walls. In individual cases, only the upper part can be used as a ladder at very low heights. Up to the maximum permissible standing height of five metres, the KRAUSE system offers its users the greatest possible flexibility.

Safe tread in every situation due to R13 steps

Besides the 80 mm deep step for relaxed standing and the use according to TRBS 2121-2, the KRAUSE window cleaner ladder is also available with steps of the slip resistance class R13. In contrast to many conventional R13 steps with additional rubber or plastic inserts, the KRAUSE R13 step is completely made of aluminium and is not subject to any additional wear. The steps with open hole pattern are easy to clean, a clogging of the profiling by dirt, mud, snow or ice is not possible. Climbing the ladder also creates a self-cleaning function, as impurities fall through the holes and liquids can run off.

Highest load-bearing capacity with full ladder length - simply more window cleaner ladders

The load capacity of conventional window cleaner ladders is often limited at the maximum permissible ladder length. This is not the case with the KRAUSE system - it is still loadable up to 150 kg even at maximum height. The fundamentally revised KRAUSE window cleaner ladder offers more safety, comfort, ergonomics and combination possibilities for window cleaners, building cleaners as well as for all other trades who can better cope with the daily challenges with these features.
