Leaning ladders made by KRAUSE - Your light weight and robust partner for everyday

Where KRAUSE is, there is safety - Aluminium leaning ladders with rungs or steps

Leaning and extension ladders made of aluminum are not only suitable for carrying out work but also for reaching higher workplaces. With a leaning ladder or extension ladder, you can reach a working height of up to 13.10 m, which is provided with a rope for easier handling.

Leaning ladders with steps or rungs are technical work equipment and represent a source of danger. The entrepreneur must ensure that a qualified person commissioned by him carries out a recurring work equipment check to ensure that the aluminum extension ladders are in proper condition.

With 80 mm deep and profiled steps, our STABILO leaning step ladder +S fulfils the requirements of TRBS 2121-2. This equipment guarantees a safe standing and comfortable working.

Insulated conductors for chemical/electrical environments

If you are working in an environment where there are chemical or electrical risks, it is advisable to use ladders made of an insulated material. We offer GRP ladders for this purpose, where the rungs are made of ribbed aluminium while the stiles are made of glass fibre-reinforced plastic. This special combination increases your protection against injuries caused by electricity, among other things.

Extensive range of ladder accessories

There is a wide range of accessories available for our leaning ladders. These range from spacers, which are suitable for hard-to-reach areas such as roof overhangs, to ladder spikes, which are used for uneven ground such as grass, to steps and shelves for safer and more comfortable standing and working on all types of ladders.

The "CombiSystem rail extension" is ideal for levelling out uneven ground such as steps or kerbs. Additional stabilisers are available for retrofitting existing ladders.

FAQ

One trick for determining the correct work angle of a ladder is the so-called elbow method. This angle calculation is very simple: you stand to the side of the ladder. Your shoe is right next to the foot of the ladder. The horizontally outstretched arm is bent at an angle of 90°. If the elbow touches the side of the ladder at the rails, the ladder is in the correct position. If the elbow extends beyond this, the ladder is too steep. If the elbow does not touch the rail, the ladder is too flat.

For additional stability, single ladders with a wide ladder stabiliser should be used. It is also advisable for users to take a few additional points into account to ensure safety. In addition to selecting a particularly stable ladder, you should ensure that both the surface and the leaning surface are non-slip and level. This will prevent any staggering or wobbling and ensure that the ladder stands firmly and securely.

It should be noted that single ladders must extend at least one metre beyond the exit point when leaving the ladder to a higher level. Further safety tips on the use of ladders can be found on the information page "Safety tips for the safe use of access technology solutions".

Leaning ladders must be carefully selected, maintained and used to ensure safe working conditions. Before purchasing, it is important to consider the intended use, select the correct length and follow the safety rules that must be observed during use. We also recommend using original KRAUSE accessories, carrying out functional tests before use and strictly adhering to the care and maintenance measures. This will ensure safe use and prevent accidents.
