Personal protective equipment against falls from a height (PPE)
An access protection device is part of an access protection system consisting of a mobile fall arrester and a fixed guide. The mobile fall arrester and the fixed guide form one product, i.e. they are tested and certified together and are intended for joint use. The choice of fall protection (back protection cage or PPE against falls from a height) must be made depending on the protective function and its effectiveness. In conjunction with fixed ladders, KRAUSE offers two different systems for the safe vertical ascent to and descent from the workplace - the back protection cage on the one hand, and an access protecting rail including safety runner on the other.
The purpose of PPE (personal fall protection equipment) is to ensure occupational safety in areas where there is a risk of falling. In addition to the access protecting rails, KRAUSE also offers suitable and approved fall arresters as well as the appropriate protective equipment for every user. This includes harnesses, helmets, work positioning, lanyards and carabiners.
Where KRAUSE is, there is safety - Personal protective equipment against falls from a height
PPE - Personal Protective Equipment against falls from a height must be worn by all persons working in areas where there is a risk of falling, e.g. roofers, height rescuers, scaffolders or persons working in the industrial climbing sector. It is one of the individual protective measures prescribed by the employers‘ liability insurance associations when the use of collective protective measures such as safety nets or side protection is not possible. A difference is made between restraint systems, fall arrest systems and rescue systems. Users of PPE against falls from a height must always receive theoretical and practical instruction before using it for the first time, which must be refreshed annually.
